When we speak of Earth as a planet that we reside on we are relating to something that we perceive outside of ourselves as separate. In the spiritual community some people say “Mother Earth”. Meaning the planet is like a mother who loves, nurtures, and provides for her children, as well as disciplines when necessary. I get this perspective in all its beauty. However, this is merely a conceptualization from our standpoint as a human. When looked at holistically, everything and all the places in between are the Earth. We are the Earth. There is no separate Earth “out there”, and then there is you, and me. It’s like we have collectively made a distinct separation between us as a reminder of how guilty we should feel for being human and all the damage that we did—like we will be repenting for our ecological sins for eons to come. People like to suffer. They like it. It’s true. Look deeper into this before you react.
The reason why the awakening hasn't happened for most folks is because they like to suffer. They are not done playing the game of duality, not quite finished with feeling guilty and repenting to Gaia for their fellow humans shortcomings. It’s like if they do then their gratitude, apologies, light, and love will heal the Earth and all the wrongdoings of man. Like man did something wrong, and that the Earth needs healing. This is not accurate. You know, I speak for Gaia too, and this is not at all how this being perceives what has been happening. Gaia is completely aware that humans are waking up. As well as understands this term “waking up”, or becoming aware has many layers to it. There is a depth as to how far a human can go with their awakening. When knowing and loving the self with all its imperfections and joys, one will know the entire world!
People first become aware of themselves as separate from the rest with an identity, family, and community. Then, they become aware of how that community has been living, and their awareness brings them much heartache and trouble for their fellow citizens and the Earth. They find themselves taking on all the guilt and walk on a mission to wake others up. Isn’t this beginning to sound a little like what religious people do to “share” or more like convince others that their God is the ultimate truth? They are not happy. I know from first hand experience, and there are many people who carry this heartache with them-- "The Gaia Cross of Burden”. Ok, so they woke up to how unnaturally man has been living, but this is not the full extent of the awakening. It certainly helps, but without full understanding of the nature of reality and creation, partial awareness can bring way more problems than it helps to resolve. Look at the activist movements and countless ceremonies based on healing the Earth and praying and meditating oneself into balance. It’s an endless repetitive loop and feelings of never getting it right. Always trying to fix the self, or others, or the world. “I love the Earth” become words that they cannot apply to themselves. I’ve lived these very things I mention. There is an absolute art, beauty, and connection and experience, and all this represented. But, as Gaia has pointed out some feel they are ascending because they’ve been tried and tested throughout life and have gone through their hell’s, trials, and tribulations. They call this initiation. However, this is simply life. It’s actually the human condition of having a need to suffer and work through it, wash and repeat. As if it’s a way to show their existence to others, their ego or it’s simply something to talk about in conversation besides the weather outside. “I exist, dammit! Listen to me!” that sums up common dialog among humans on a daily basis. The true awakening happens when the individual wakes up to their own internal world. When one human realizes themselves for themselves. Now, just imagine when there are millions who realize everything on the outside is on the inside. Remember, it only takes a few.
If the true way to “help save the Earth” is to endure what it takes to dive into the deepest parts of the self, well I say put down the picket sign, walk off the line, and celebrate your last repentance. Yes, sure you can do both. Why not? Well, if you have this question running through your mind I suggest to re-read this entire section again and take some time with yourself as to what has been presented here. I’m sure you could use the rest from all of this. Now, breathe.
